I have a whole range of other projects on the go at any time. On this page I’ll try and collect them together for you.
I am the President and co-founder of the Belgian English Language Teachers Association (BELTA), a non-profit organization for teachers of English in Belgium. We seek to encourage the professional development of English language teachers in Belgium by offering possibilities for discussion and the exchange of ideas and experience through our conferences, workshops, webinars, blog, website, journal and social media presence.
For more information, go to www.beltabelgium.com.
I am the producer of TEFL Commute, a podcast for language teachers. TEFL commute is meant to be a light-hearted listen aimed at brightening your daily commute to class. Each episode is built around a topic that you could use in your teaching and the podcast will have page on this site that will link you to articles, questions and resources you can use with your students.
I am also an #ELTchat moderator. #ELTchat started in September 2010 when a group of #ELTchat professionals began to use twitter to discuss topics of interest to English Language Teachers. It began with the aim of creating a freely available social network for ELT professionals offering mutual support and opportunities for Continuous Professional Development. Now, every Wednesday at either 12pm or 9pm, ELT teachers from all over the world log into their Twitter account and for one hour hold an online discussion on a topic they have selected. I also used to produce and present the #ELTchat podcast. To listen to the podcast, click here.
