My New Book – Now Available!

By james M. Taylor

I’m very pleased to introduce you to my first book, now available as an ebook on various platforms. It’s called How Was Your Weekend? 1001 Discussion Questions To Use With Your EFL/ESL Students and I wrote it as a way of avoiding asking that question over and over again! Here’s a video I made to introduce it:

If you’d like to help me and support this book, there are three things you can do:

1) Buy it! That’s definitely the best option as far as I’m concerned…

If you want to buy the book on Amazon UK, please click here (it’s an affiliate link, please use this instead of searching so I get extra money!).

It’s also available in these Amazon stores:
Australia / Brazil / Canada / France / Germany / India / Italy / Japan / Mexico / Spain /

And here’s the Amazon.com link for everyone else.

And if you don’t have a Kindle, you can get it from Smashwords in a variety of formats, and from these services:

iBooks / Barnes and Noble / Scribd / Kobo / Livaria Cultura (Brazil) / Fnac (France) / Indigo (Canada) / Feltrinelli (Italy) / Bol (Netherlands) / Paper Plus (New Zealand) / Rakuten (Japan) and maybe some others I don’t know about yet!

2) Rate and review. Leave a (positive, obviously!) review and a rating wherever you bought it. It’ll really help get the word out.

3) Tell people. Social media, email, face to face, fax, carrier pigeon, whatever means you prefer is fine by me, but if you can, recommend the book to people you know.

And if you use the book, I’d love to hear how you’re using it and possibly share your stories here on my blog. So get in touch and let me know about your experiences.

Thanks for your support, and I hope you enjoy using How Was Your Weekend? with your students!

  1. Since I’m about to get back into ESOL work, I thought this would be a great wee present for myself so I’ve got my copy (using your affiliate link!). It looks great, James! And very useful… not just for language learning but also for community groups, literacies groups and lots of other situations where people are together. I’m very pleased that you’ve numbered the questions too 🙂

  2. Hi,
I’m going to order a hard copy for our library. I was wondering if you also offer useful lexical items for each set of questions.
    Thanks!
    Evan

    1. Hi Evan, thanks for your interest in my book. Hard copies are not available at the moment, but I would love to have them at some point. It really depends on how well it sells to be honest! I haven’t included any lexical sets as the questions are really designed to be used as warmers but maybe I’ll do a second edition with them at some point.
